Islamabad, May 6 (Inditop.com) Pakistan will react to the death sentence awarded to Ajmal Amir Kasab for his role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack after a detailed study of the judgment, the foreign office said Thursday.

“Legal experts are analyzing the detailed verdict of Ajmal Kasab’s case and after reviewing the verdict, Pakistan will record its reaction,” Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit said at his weekly press briefing.

He said Kasab’s lawyers will decide on filing an appeal against the death sentence, adding that Pakistan has never demanded that the terrorist be handed over to this country.

The demand was made by a court here that is trying six Laskhar-e-Taiba operatives for their alleged role in the Mumbai attack, Online news agency quoted Basit as pointing out.

He said that Pakistan has already sough important documents with regard to the Mumbai attacks.

Noting that Pakistan condemns terrorist activity anywhere in the world, he said Islamabad has already condemned the Mumbai attacks.

Kasab was Thursday sentenced to death for his role in the Mumbai carnage by a special court that said he had no right to live.
