London, May 12 (Inditop.com) Conservative leader David Cameron at 43 is one of the youngest prime minister’s of Britain – an achievement shadowed only by the fact that William Pitt became the British PM aged only 24.
Cameron, born Oct 9, 1966 became British PM Tuesday after a bitterly fought election that threw up a hung parliament. The Tories forged an alliance with the Liberal Democrats, helping them end 13-years of Labour rule.
William Pitt (the younger) entered parliament in 1781, became chancellor of the exchequer in 1782 and shortly after became Britain’s youngest prime minister, aged 24, said Encyclopaedia.com.
