New Delhi, May 15 (Inditop.com) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani and Congress leader Salman Khurshid Saturday condoled the demise of former vice president Bhairon Shingh Shekhawat.
“My recollection of him starts from the first election in 1952 when eight of our candidates won. Bhairon Singh-ji proved his ability and competence every time,” Advani said in his condolence message.
Minority Affairs Minister Khurshid also paid tribute to the BJP leader.
“He was a leader of high eminence. He held a high constitutional office. We condole his death and send condolences to his family,” Khurshid said.
Shekhawat died at Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Hospital Saturday morning. He was 86.
Shekhawat was was admitted to hospital Thursday after he complained of breathing problems caused by a lung infection.
