New Delhi, May 19 (Inditop.com) Delhiites got some reprieve from sweltering heat Wednesday as the maximum temperature climbed down to 41.6 degrees Celsius from Tuesday’s high of 44.6 degrees.

“The maximum stood at 41.6 degrees Celsius, which was one degree above what is normal for this time of the year,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The city began the day at a minimum temperature of 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above average, for this time of the season. The minimum Tuesday at 32 degrees Celsius was the highest in the past five years in the city.

According to the IMD, the maximum temperature Thursday will hover around 41 degrees Celsius and the minimum may settle around 28 degrees Celsius.
