New Delhi, May 20 (Inditop.com) Above average temperatures, coupled with high humidity, left Delhiites uncomfortably hot and sweaty Thursday. The capital suffered 49 percent humidity as the mercury recorded 41.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for this time of the year.

An India Meteorological Department official said the maximum temperature Thursday was 41.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for this time of the year. The relative humidity in the capital was 49 percent.

The humidity level was 41 percent Wednesday — when the maximum temperature registered 41.6 degrees.

According to the met department, the minimum temperature recorded early Thursday was two notches above average, at 28.7 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature was 30.5 degrees Celsius.

“The national capital can expect a clear sky and a maximum temperature of 43 and minimum of 28 degrees Celsius Friday,” the official said.
