New Delhi, May 26 (IANS) In view of a strike called by a section of Air India employees, the government Wednesday allowed its employees to fly on any carrier till such time the state-run airline does not resume normal service.
An official order issued in the morning said entitled government employees can travel any carrier, both for their official duties and for availing leave travel concession.
Air India had to cancel 76 domestic and international flights Wednesday after around 15,000 crew members and maintenance engineers went on a flash strike all over India Tuesday protesting a gag order and delay in the payment of salaries.
