Lahore, June 1 (IANS) Gunmen Monday night stormed the Jinnah hospital in this eastern Pakistani city, killing at least eight people and injuring several others, media reports said.
The attack took place in the emergency ward of the hospital, Geo TV reported, quoting a medical superintendent. Guards and attendants of the hospital are among the dead.
The firing is still underway, while police have cordoned off the area.
The attack comes four days after Taliban guerrillas killed at least 62 people at two mosques of the minority Ahmadi sect in Garhi Shahu and Model Town areas of Lahore.
