New Delhi, June 16 (IANS) The capital Wednesday experienced a warm day though some pockets of the city witnessed a slight drizzle, the weatherman said.

‘Parts of Delhi like Safdarjung received some rainfall in the morning but we don’t expect any rains in the next 48 hours though there may be a partly clouded sky’, said an official of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The city recorded a maximum temperature of 39.5 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature recorded was 29.1 degree Celsius, one notch above the average recorded for this time of the year. Humidity was recorded at 55 percent.

‘The humidity level is not high and will remain the same for few days more,’ added the official.

The capital can expect a maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius and a minimum of 29 degree Celsius Thursday, the official added.
