New Delhi, June 30 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wednesday accused the government of ‘adhocism’ in the war against Maoists and said states where the rebels are active should get all help.

BJP spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain said Tuesday’s attack on security forces in Chattisgarh showed that Maoists were murderers and their sole aim was to undermine the democratic polity.

‘We must reiterate that the fight against Naxalism must be seen as a national endeavor and the affected states must be assisted in every possible way to counter this menace,’ he said.

‘We are saddened to notice a stark divergence of opinions, confusion and ad-hocism in the government’s approach. Lack of clearcut policy directives and knee-jerk reactions have emboldened the Maoists.’
