London, July 6 (IANS) Singer Justin Bieber is the latest celebrity to fall victim to internet pranksters.
Hackers infiltrated Bieber’s YouTube page and his fans were allegedly fed false reports that he had died in a car crash, while others were redirected to porn sites.
Bosses at internet search engine Google, which owns YouTube, took immediate action to remedy the problem and it was fixed within a matter of hours.
‘We took swift action to fix a…vulnerability on Youtube.com that was discovered several hours ago. Comments were temporarily hidden by default within an hour, and we released a complete fix for the issue in about two hours. We’re continuing to study the vulnerability to help prevent similar issues in the future,’ dailystar.co.uk quoted Google bosses as saying in a statement.
