Colombo, July 13 (IANS) Sri Lanka Board President’s XI posted a massive 432 for five against the visiting Indian cricket team on the opening day of the three-day warm up match here Tuesday.

Upual Tharanga (110), Thilina Kandamby (101) and Thilan Samaraweera (102) struck centuries after Sri Lanka Board President’s XI elected to bat. Lahiru Thirimanne made 66.

For India, Pragyan Ojha took three wickets while Amit MIshra bagged two, but pacer Abhimanyu Mithun was the most economical bowler, giving away 70 runs in 18 overs.

Tharnga and Thirimanne gave a rousing start to the home team with a 188-run partnership.

After Ojha dismissed both, Kandamby and Samareweera shared 180 runs and dashed India’s hopes of restricting the hosts to small total.
