New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS) Slums in industrial estates in the capital present a ‘bad image’ of the city, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said Wednesday and urged the industries to focus on providing housing to workers in those areas.

While unveiling Delhi’s industrial policy for 2010-21, Dikshit said one did not feel ‘good’ after visiting industrial estates in the city and seeing so many ‘jhuggis and jhopdis’ (slum clusters).

She exhorted the industries to look into housing for the slum dwellers and said: ‘If ‘we don’t do something in this regard and focus on developmental works, then we will fail in our duties.’
