Shimla, Aug 9 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh Monday cleared six industrial proposals worth Rs.267.68 crore, an official said here.

The projects will provide employment to 1,353 people in the state, a government spokesperson told IANS.

Among the six industrial and three expansion proposals cleared by the cabinet were Kuldip Oswal Cotspin Pvt Ltd, Aishwarya Life Sciences, Sainath Texport Ltd and Blue Star Ltd.

While Kuldip Oswal Cotspin will set up a yarn manufacturing plant in Una district with an outlay of Rs.72 crore, Aishwarya Life Sciences will invest Rs.47.61 crore in manufacturing life-saving drugs at Baddi in Solan district.

Blue Star Ltd will put in Rs.35 crore to manufacture air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment in Sirmaur district.

Himachal Pradesh has 38 industrial areas and 15 industrial estates.
