London, Aug 13 (IANS) Jennifer Aniston has hit out at outspoken political pundit Bill O’Reilly after he branded her ‘destructive’ to society for praising artificial insemination.

Aniston spoke openly in support for women who choose to use sperm donors to have children while promoting her new movie ‘The Switch’, in which her character decides to become a single mother.

Her remarks infuriated O’Reilly, who took aim at the actress on his show ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ last week by accusing her of ‘diminishing the role of the dad’.

‘Dads bring a psychology to children that is in this society, I believe, under-emphasised. I think men get hosed all day long in the parental arena,’ contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.

Responding to his criticism, Aniston said: ‘Of course, the ideal scenario for parenting is obviously two parents of a mature age. Parenting is one of the hardest jobs on earth.

‘And, of course, many women dream of finding Prince Charming (with fatherly instincts), but for those who’ve not yet found their Bill O’Reilly, I’m just glad science has provided a few other options,’ she said.
