Islamabad, May 5 (Inditop) At least four soldiers were killed Tuesday and more than a dozen people, including schoolchildren, were injured in a suicide car bombing in north-western Pakistan, police said.
The bomber rammed his explosives-laden car into a vehicle carrying paramilitary troops near a post located on the outskirts of Peshawar, the capital of the militancy-plagued North-West Frontier Province.
“At least four soldiers have been killed, and between eight and 10 are injured,” said Ghulam Mohammad, a police official.
The blast also damaged a passing school van and injured half a dozen children, he added.
Taliban and Al Qaeda-linked militants have carried out dozens of similar suicide bombings targeting security personnel, political leaders and civilians in the province, where they have gained control over large areas.
