New Delhi, May 5 (Inditop) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi is to address a rally here in a last minute effort to woo voters before campaigning for parliamentary elections in Delhi ends Tuesday evening.

A total of 160 candidates are in the fray for the capital’s seven Lok Sabha seats. Thursday’s exercise will be spread over 11,348 polling booths.

Keeping the summer heat in mind, the Election Commission has arranged for potable water and tents for the benefit of voters at polling booths.

A total of 293 booths have been identified as “sensitive” and “hypersensitive” — official euphemism to mean they could see violence, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer J.K. Sharma told Inditop.

The Delhi Police will deploy Quick Reaction Teams, specially around sensitive booths.
