New Delhi, Aug 23 (IANS) The monsoon session of the Delhi assembly was adjourned sine die Monday after a five-day meeting, which saw discussions on the Commonwealth Games and price rise besides law and order.
After a discussion on the Municipal Corporation of Delhi got over at 7 p.m., Speaker Yoganand Shastri announced adjournment of the house sine die.
He congratulated Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and opposition leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra among MLAs and officials for the effective running of the house.
In its five sittings, the assembly witnessed heated exchanges among members of the treasury and opposition benches on various issues.
