London, Aug 29 (IANS) Hollywood star Angelina Jolie is tipped to play the lead in a remake of British television drama ‘Unforgiven’.
The ITV drama, aired last year, is about a woman released from jail after 15 years for murder and is then stalked by one of her victim’s sons. Jolie is said to be ‘very interested’ in the role.
‘It’s a raw, dramatic part that will strip away her glamour and really showcase her acting skills,’ express.co.uk quoted an industry insider as saying.
The original starred former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Suranne Jones.
