Ahmedabad, Aug 30 (IANS) The special Central Bureau of Investigation court here Monday adjourned to Sep 7 the hearing on the bail application of former Gujarat minister of state for home Amit Shah, arrested in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh case.

Special CBI judge G.K. Upadhayay adjourned the matter after the CBI sought more time in the absence of their counsel, K.T.S. Tulsi.

Shah was arrested by CBI July 25 and his bail application was filed a day later.

The case, initially being investigated by the Gujarat state CID (crime), was handed over to the CBI after the Supreme Court found discrepancies and expressed its unhappiness with the probe being carried out under directions of Gujarat cadre Indian Police Service officer Geetha Johri.
