Bhubaneswar, Aug 31 (IANS) State-owned National Aluminium Company (NALCO) has issued a long-term alumina export tender for 270,000 tonnes, a company official said Tuesday.
The last date for submission of bids is September 15. The deliveries against the tender would be made over 2011 in nine batches of 30,000 tonnes each.
The Bhubaneswar headquartered NALCO, which produces both alumina and aluminium, earlier this week sold 30,000 tonnes of alumina for $326.80 a tonne free on board to Hong Kong-based Noble Resources. The alumina is scheduled for shipment next month, the official said.
