New Delhi, May 14 (Inditop) An year after Aarushi Talwar’s tragic death, people across the world have been pouring out their anger against investigative agencies and demanding justice for her on social networking site Facebook.
“Its almost gonna be a year. Brilliant, I think our police force is absolutely splendid. Hell, they’ve got guts. Almost a year hence, they’re unable to catch those guilty. I feel so ashamed and disgraced. I wish that I could do something to bring justice to Aarushi,” wrote Aashima Jain on Facebook community “Justice for Aarushi” formed by her peers.
Jain is among over 3,000 members who have joined the community and are gathering mass support from across the world. Aarushi’s friends at Delhi Public School (DPS), Noida are also planning to hold a candlelight vigil later this week to protest alleged laidback attitude of investigative agencies in bringing Aarushi’s murderers to book.
According to Aarushi’s mother, Nupur Talwar their daughter’s friends have been very supportive and are doing everything to bring her justice.
“This Facebook group has been made by Aarushi’s friends and they wanted to gather as many people as they could in support of their objective – ‘Justice for Aarushi’,” Nupur told IANS.
Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit in her house in Noida May 16, 2008.
Vidushi Durrani, Aarushi’s best friend, who has been leading the community, wrote: “A week before Aarushi died she wrote to her mom on mother’s day that I promise I will be famous one day and make you proud.”
“Our little angel did become famous, not because she was a superstar or a tennis champion or any such thing, but she became famous worldwide because she was the victim of a gruesome murder. May her soul rest in peace,” Durrani wrote.
Expressing anger over investigative agencies, another member of the community, Swati wrote: “I could just wish, that the police get to work before the people go and kick them up.”
Prateek Nagar, a DPS Noida student wrote: “Are we waiting for another Aarushi Talwar? It is time for us to make a stand to not only get justice for Aarushi but the hundreds of other girls who are losing their lives daily just because a few men in our society have to think like ********.”
“It is now our duty to take a stand and fight against the injustice Aarushi suffered and tomorrow maybe even we can suffer. As responsible citizens we must voice ourselves to save ourselves, our near and dear ones and tomorrow for our daughters. I hope we all come together to fight the wrong,” Nagar added.
Ronnie Chaudhary, another member of the community, wrote: “The police never intended on catching the killers. They just buy themselves time till the public and media forget all about it. And if the pressure really mounts on them they just take a normal crook who is in no way related to the crime and beat him up till if confesses to the crime”.
The community has received huge support from Indians overseas, some of whom are even ready to provide legal advice in the Aarushi murder case.
“This case needs to be re-opened and the investigation should be started from scratch and without being partial we should consider every possibility… for such kind of action, if you guys need any legal advice, I will be happy to provide,” wrote Prithvi Jai Sehgal, a practicing lawyer in the US.
“Even the CBI or police, nobody did justice with Aarushi at all. Things have been mishandled… and being a lawyer I know as many proofs were wasted, it’s now a very bleak chance that the real killers can be brought to punishment, but still when there is a will there is a way,” Sehgal added.
