Patna, Nov 5 (IANS) Maoists shot dead two people and seriously injured three in a Bihar village early Friday, police said.

‘A group of armed Maoists surrounded Baratand village in Banka district and opened fire. Two people were killed and three seriously injured,’ a police official said.

‘The injured were admitted to a hospital,’ he added.

Police suspect the incident was an act of revenge against villagers by the rebels.
