Bloemfontein, May 16 (Inditop) Australian pacer Brett Lee, who returned to form with a three wicket burst against Delhi Daredevils Friday, said he is using the Indian Premier League (IPL) stint to get back to shape before the Twenty20 World Cup and Ashes.

Lee, plagued by injuries and loss of form, returned to cricket through IPL.

The speedster rocked Delhi Daredevils batting with crucial blows, giving away only 15 runs in his four overs as Kings XI won by a comfortable six wickets.

“I am looking forward to the Ashes. And I want to take that brand new ball. But that’s a fair way off now. I have got the ICC World Twenty20 to try get into form and the IPL has been a brilliant platform for me to prepare a comeback into international cricket,” Lee said after being capped the man of the match.

The 32-year-old pacer said that he is fully fit now.

“When you had five ankle operations then you have got to try and get through it somehow. I am not worried about the ankle now, actually felt 100 percent. I am actually enjoying the challenge. We have got a great leader and we have got a great side.” Lee was quoted as saying in iplt20.com.

Lee, who is sharing his experience with King XI Punjab teammates Irfan Pathan and S. Sreesanth, said: “Sree and Irfan, they have been two bowlers who work well as a team and I’ll be surely backing up what Yuvraj (Singh) said was a great team effort.”
