New Delhi, Nov 30 (IANS) Abhishek Bachchan’s loyalty to the brands he endorses seems unquestionable. The actor dug into his Omega collection for a vintage watch to wear in his forthcoming period film ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’.
Abhishek, who was appointed as the face of Omega in India in 2006, has worn a black leather strap watch from the Swiss brand throughout the film.
‘Abhishek had a piece from the independence struggle period in his Omega collection, so he decided it would be appropriate to wear it,’ said a source close to the actor.
The 34-year-old plays a freedom fighter in Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’, based on the Chittagong uprising of 1930s. The film releases Friday.

Big B on ‘Koffee With Karan’ with daughter
For a change, megastar Amitabh Bachchan was sans his wife, Jaya, and son, Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya when he went to shoot for filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular show ‘Koffee With Karan’. He was accompanied by daughter Shweta.
‘Shweta on with me at ‘Koffee with Karan’. Shweta and Karan have been the best of friends from when they were five or six years old!’ Amitabh posted on his Twitter page.
The 68-year-old even posted pictures of the three of them together.
While Amitabh looked dashing in a black suit, Shweta looked elegant in an off-shoulder carrot-coloured gown. Amitabh feels very emotional and happy whenever Shweta flies in from Delhi to Mumbai to spend time with them.
‘Kids are the most beautiful acquisition of the universe … simple, endearing and lovable till the end … may god bless them!’ added Big B.

Malaika miffed with Sonakshi?
Original ‘Munni’ Malaika Arora Khan has been ticked off by Sonakshi Sinha, the leading lady of blockbuster ‘Dabangg’, after the latter danced to the hit number ‘Munni badnaam hui’ at an award function.
At the recently held Sahara India Sports Awards 2010, Sonakshi marked her stage debut with a performance on ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, originally picturised on Malaika in ‘Dabangg’.
Though everyone applauded Sonakshi for her dance, Malaika wasn’t too pleased, according to sources.
‘Ever since ‘Munni badnaam hui’ became popular, Malaika has been performing to the number in various shows and events. However, Malaika was not approached for this event and the fact that Sonakshi performed on the track did not go down very well with her,’ said the source.
Sahara India Sports Awards 2010 will be aired Saturday on Star Plus.
