Chandigarh, Dec 3 (IANS) Defaulters of electricity bills in north Haryana will be targeted under a special recovery campaign to be launched Sunday, senior Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) official said here Friday.
‘The UHBVN would launch a special defaulting amount recovery campaign in district Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar and Jind from Dec 5 to 31, under which strenuous efforts would be made by the field staff to recover the outstanding amounts,’ UHBVN managing director Arun Kumar said.
He said the UHBVN had earned record revenue of Rs.304.87 crore in the month of November. Earlier, the highest revenue recovery was Rs.285.04 crore in October this year.
Kumar said the UHBVN had earned a revenue of Rs.2,026.17 crore up to November in this financial year compared to revenue recovery of Rs.1,678.85 crore in the corresponding period last year.
