Kathmandu, Dec 29 (IANS) Indian celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, acclaimed as much for his lip-smacking culinary skills as his flair for business, will be displaying both in a more distant playing field when his chain of The Yellow Chilli restaurants makes its debut in Nepal.
Already flourishing in nearly two dozen locations in India, the eating chain with the distinct Kapoor touch will now be launched in three overseas destinations with a large Indian population – Nepal, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, Kapoor, chef extraordinaire, cook book author and the host of a cookery show on Indian TV that has been running for 14 years, wrote in his blog that he was flying to Kathmandu the day after to fine-tune the launch of his new restaurant in Kathmandu in March.
To be located at the Blue Bird Mall in Kathamandu’s Tripureshwor, which already boasts of a food court and several small restaurants in the neighbourhood, The Yellow Chilli restaurant will strengthen Indo-Nepal ties as food speaks the universal language of love, Kapoor wrote.
The Nepal venture is in association with Herbs and Spice Foods Private Ltd.
