New York, April 1 (IANS) Tiger Woods’ former wife has returned him his wedding gift of 155-foot yacht ‘Privacy’ and the troubled golfer has put it on sale for $25 million, according to New York Post.
Woods had bought the yacht for $20 million to give his former Swedish wife Elin Nordegren as a wedding present in 2004.
But the Swedish model returned the yacht back to the golfer during the recent divorce settlement as she did not want to shell out more than $2 million a year for its upkeep, according to the report.
‘Privacy’ is currently docked at North Palm Beach where local mega-yacht builder John Staluppi says Woods is asking too high a price.
‘The market on big yachts has gone down. Banks aren’t financing and the economy is off. It’s a buyer’s market.
‘Unless he sells to someone who wants to brag that he’s got Tiger’s yacht, he’ll get about $20 million,” he said.
Before putting the mega yacht on sale, Woods has bought a 62-foot diving boat named ‘Solitude’ for $3.1 million, according to New York Post.
