New Delhi, May 2 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Monday issued notice to the chief medical officer (CMO) of its dispensary to spare a doctor to collect the blood samples of veteran Congress leader N.D. Tiwari in connection with a paternity suit.
Joint Registrar Deepak Garg has sought a response from the CMO by May 10.
The court has fixed June 1 as the date to collect blood samples of N.D. Tiwari and others.
A single judge bench of the court Dec 23, 2010, asked Tiwari to undergo a DNA test on the suit filed by Rohit Shekhar, 31, who claimed to be his biological son.
Shekhar claimed he was born out of the leader’s alleged relationship with his mother Ujjwala Sharma.
Tiwari, who held the posts of chief minister of undivided Uttar Pradesh and later Uttarakhand, opposed the paternity suit.
