New Delhi, June 2 (IANS) A cooler day lies ahead for Delhi Thursday with a breeze bringing the temperature down slightly.

Rain spells may also be witnessed here later in the day, India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said.

Delhi woke up to a partially cloudy sky Thursday, and the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 36 degrees Celsius, around three to four degrees less than average for this time of year, an IMD official said.

‘The sky will be partly cloudy, there is possibility of rain in some areas. The day will be cool, owing to the cloudy developments and cool breeze,’ he said.

The minimum temperature recorded early Thursday morning was five notches below average at 22.8 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature Wednesday was 36.7 degrees Celsius, three notches below average.
