New Delhi, June 30 (IANS) Congress president Sonia Gandhi is yet to confirm when she will meet Gandhian Anna Hazare and other members of the civil society team pitching for a Lokpal bill, a senior party leader said Thursday.
‘We haven’t yet been given any timings. If we come to know the timings later in the day, we will put it out to team Hazare,’ Congress leader Tom Vadakkan told IANS.
Team Hazare will, meanwhile, meet Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Communist Party of India general secretary A.B. Bardhan, said Aswathi Muralidharan, a member of the NGO Parivartan, an NGO canvassing support for the Lokpal bill.
Hazare had earlier said his team wanted to meet Sonia Gandhi to discuss the Lokpal bill. His team would be meeting political leaders across the board to build a consensus on the bill drafted by members of the civil society.
