Dhaka, June 30 (IANS) A group of youths allegedly beat up teachers of a Bangladesh school Thursday when they protested the teasing of female students, a media report said.
The youths were teasing girl students of the Hashimpur High School in Jessore Sadar, 135 km from Dhaka. The school headmaster protested and asked the youths to leave the compound immediately, the Daily Star reported.
This angered the group and they assaulted and severely beat up the headmaster and other teachers, witnesses said.
The teachers and students later staged a demonstration and submitted a memorandum to the district authority demanding punishment to the attackers.
