New Delhi, July 3 (IANS) A group of freelance computer wizards have made a live-action animation film on global warming titled ‘5Ters – Castle of the Dark Master’, which will hit the theatres July 8 in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

Produced by Morphosys Information Pvt. Ltd., the hi-tech live-action animation extravaganza has been conceived and executed by a Bangalore-based group of freelance computer whiz kids who were led by director G. Venugopal, a noted artist, designer, animator and animation director.

Made in both 2D and 3D animation ‘5ters – Castle of the Darkmaster’ is a about a journey undertaken by five children and traverses the real and the imaginary worlds.

‘We wanted to make a film with computer graphics and animation on a scale never seen in India so far. And I can proudly say that with ‘5ters – Castle of the Darkmaster’, we have successfully managed to do that,’ Venugopal said in a statement.

‘This is an initiative towards making technologically superior films, which I feel, India is fully capable of. And I hope that with 5ters… setting the trend, more such films are attempted here,’ he added.

Vijayalakshmi NS is the writer, associate director and digital production head of the film.

With as many as 1,600 visual effects, the film is said to be a visual treat.

‘Stunning visual locales, dazzling visual effects and path-breaking animation make 5ters… a visual treat for all,’ said Vijayalakshmi.
