Islamabad, July 3 (IANS) Police have launched a search operation in Pakistan’s Quetta city after at least 17 girls fled a shelter home by cutting open window grills and jumping off the walls, Dawn News reported Sunday.

The girls escaped from the shelter home Saturday night, said police.

Earlier, 13 girls had escaped from Quetta’s Darul Aman. However, a majority of them were arrested and sent back to the shelter.
