New Delhi, June 28 (Inditop.com) With no sign of the monsoon yet and the heat getting unbearable, Delhiites could get a much needed reprieve Sunday – the weatherman has forecast thunderstorms with a possible drizzle that could bring down the daytime temperature.
“There will be partly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of duststorms and thunderstorms which could be accompanied by a little drizzle — so fall in the day time temperature is likely,” an official at the Safdarjung met office told IANS.
Although there could be a little respite during the day, the met office has predicted the maximum temperatures to hover around 43.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum recorded Sunday morning was 32.3 degrees Celsius.
The humidity levels are expected to be 58 percent.
With temperatures Saturday going three to five degrees above what is average for this time of the year, the capital sizzled at a maximum of 43.7 degrees and a minimum of 31.6 degrees Celsius.
“Yesterday (Saturday) was very hot and the high humidity levels did not help,” the official said.
