Chennai, Dec 13 (Inditop) Spinner Monty Panesar picked up two quick wickets to leave India, chasing England’s 316, struggling at 241 for the loss of nine wickets in the first innings at lunch on the third day of the first cricket Test at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium here Saturday.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni made a gritty 53 and along with Harbhajan Singh (40) stitched a crucial 75-run stand for the seventh wicket after resuming at the overnight score of 155 for six. Both fell to Panesar.
