New Delhi, Aug 30 (IANS) A controversial CD purportedly containing a conversation between former law minister Shanti Bhushan and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and former SP leader Amar Singh is original and not doctored, Delhi Police said Tuesday.

Delhi Police have stated this in their closure report on the complaint filed by senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan who alleged the CD was doctored.

‘There is no tampering of CD and we have filed a closure report,’ said Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat.

In the conversation, Shanti Bhushan allegedly promises Mulayam Singh of influencing a judge for a price and suggests that his son and lawyer Prashant Bhushan will facilitate the ‘fixing’.

The CD appeared after social activist Anna Hazare ended his fast in April and Shanti Bhushan was appointed as co-chair of the Lokpal joint drafting committee.
