New Delhi, Aug 30 (IANS) A total of 115 people have died of malaria in the country this year till June, the Rajya Sabha was informed Tuesday.
Minister of State for Health Sudip Bandyopadhyay told the house that 2,282 people have died of malaria since 2009.
He said the highest number of malaria deaths were reported from Maharashtra, followed by Assam and Mizoram.
The country has reported 440,301 cases of malaria till June this year.
