London, Sep 2 (IANS) Following a podium finish in the previous race, India’s Aditya Patel will Saturday go into the sixth round of the Volkswagen Scirocco R Cup at Brands Hatch, near here, hoping to make progress.

The 22-year old Aditya, who finished third in the previous round at Nurburgring, is currently placed fifth in the championship and hopes to deliver another strong result at Brands Hatch.

In preparation for the sixth round, Aditya spent a day last week with noted driver coach John Stevens who has previously trained the likes of double World Formula One champion Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard, among others.

?Spending a day with Stevens was a lifetime experience for me. I have been fairly consistent this season and will do my best at Brands to deliver a good result,? said Aditya who missed out on a podium thrice this season with fourth place finishes.

Last year at the famous Brands circuit, Aditya, sponsored by JK Tyre, Jet Airways and Amante, had qualified in fourth place, but a first corner skirmish put him out of the race.
