New Delhi, July 2 (Inditop.com) Indian athletes continued their impressive run at the Asian Youth Games in Singapore, winning three medals Thursday to take their tally to six.

According to information received here, Rohit Kumar won the gold in the javelin throw event with 74.60 metres and broke his own national record of 71.52 metres set at the junior nationals in Mysore last year.

Cheng Chao-Tsun (71.97 metres) and Pakistan’s Raheem Khan (60.73 metres) won the silver and bronze medal.

In boys 400 metres hurdles, India’s Selwyn Jebaraj’s finished second to bag the silver with a timing of 54.41 seconds. China’s Chen Dong (53.19 secs) won the gold while Kuwait’s Karam Yousef (54.80 secs) settled for the bronze.

In the girls’ 400 metres hurdles, Sushma Mekala clinched bronze in 1:03.44 seconds to win the third medal of the day for India
