London, Nov 1 (IANS) Pakistan cricketers Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt were found guilty of spot-fixing charges here Tuesday.
The BBC reported that the 27-year-old Butt, a former captain, and bowler Asif, 28, had denied conspiracy to cheat and conspiracy to accept corrupt payments but the jury at the Southwark Crown Court here found the duo guilty of conspiring to cheat.
They plotted to deliberately bowl no-balls during a Lord’s Test match against England. Bowler Mohammad Amir had already pleaded guilty to the charges.
