Mumbai, Nov 3 (IANS) With the cleaning industry in India registering 40-50 percent growth, around 100 exhibitors from all over the world will participate in the eighth edition of Clean India Pulire 2011, a cleanliness show that opens Nov 10, an official said.

Organised by Mumbai-based Virtual Info Systems in association with Italian company Adifamp Servizi and Clean India Journal, the expo will showcase the latest technologies and innovations in the cleanliness and hygiene industry.

The three-day show will feature the Integrated Facility Management Expo (IFM Expo), including a variety of roundtable conferences on the subject.

The exhibition will feature the participation of well-known brands from the sector, including Diversey India, Eureka Forbes, Roots Multiclean, Karcher, Charnock Equipments, Best Practice Washroom and British Institute of Cleaning among others.

‘Over the last decade, the cleaning industry in India has registered steady growth of 40 to 50 percent per annum. There is an increase in hygiene awareness and enforcement of international standards in many sectors, including IT, pharma, food, hospitality, healthcare, retail and others,’ said Jayaraman Nair, chairman of Virtual Info Systems Pvt Ltd.

The show will have exhibitors from 12 countries, including Germany, Italy, Britain, Malaysia, Dubai and China.

‘The growth of the cleanliness and hygiene industry has a direct bearing on a country’s emergence as a developed nation. It impacts the nation’s revenue growth from sectors like tourism and manufacturing besides a decrease in healthcare spend,’ Nair said.
