London, July 5 (Inditop.com) British DJ-producer Mark Ronson has described the death of pop superstar Michael Jackson as “tragic”, but feels it won’t have a long-term effect on the music industry.

“I think its more tragic than anything. Michael seemed like someone of our generation even though he wasn’t, but tragic things happen, his music will live on and that’s it. I don’t think its going to affect the industry in any big way,” contactmusic.com quoted Ronson as saying.

“The early Motown Jackson Five recordings are some of my favourite recordings ever, and it is a big influence on me, so I think he was brilliant, one of the most brilliant singers of all time. Just listening to his music, and the later stuff with Quincy Jones that he did is just… it’s always something I’ve aspired to be able to do.”
