New Delhi, December 28 (IANS) For the second consecutive day on Wednesday, the capital witnessed a rise in day and night temperatures.

The mercury settled two notches below what is the average for this time of the season at 5.2 degrees Celsius compared to 4.1 degrees Tuesday.

While the maximum temperature was recorded at 23.9 degrees — three notches above average — humidity wavered between a high and low of 97 and 45 percent respectively.

According to the India Meteorological Department, it will be a warm Thursday for Delhiites. The morning will be foggy but the sky will remain clear throughout Thursday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 24 and 7 degrees Celsius.
