Islamabad, Dec 30 (IANS) Pakistan has decided to increase compensation to the families of Intelligence Bureau (IB) personnel who die on duty.
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani Thursday approved the increase in compensation to the dependents of IB personnel who are either killed or injured in the line of duty, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
For junior officials who die, the grant has been doubled Rs.500,000 to Rs.1 million.
Senior officials’s families get Rs.1.5 million.
An assistance package of Rs.500,000 will be given to the officials incapacitated and released from service for having become invalid as a result of injury in shootout, bomb blasts, riots and terror attacks.
