London, Dec 30 (IANS) A 28-year-old British woman, who works as a midwife at a London hospital, delivered her own baby in the bathroom using a pocket-sized mirror.
Claire Clarke-Wood went into labour after finishing work at the Croydon University Hospital in south London.
‘I was fully dilated and I knew my baby was coming now. I used the make-up mirror to guide myself through delivering the baby. I knew what I had to do to have a safe delivery and was surprisingly calm,’ The Sun quoted Clarke-Wood as saying.
Paramedics were called but the baby was born before they arrived.
