New Delhi, July 8 (Inditop.com) After days of a literally “dry” monsoon, the met department Wednesday said the capital is likely to receive thundershowers in the latter part of the day.

“It will mainly be clear skies today, but later in the day it may get partly cloudy. Also there is a possibility of thundershowers in the evening,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Meanwhile, temperatures continued to soar. Even at 8.30 a.m. the minimum temperature recorded was a good three degrees above average at 30.8 degrees Celsius.

The humidity was similarly high – at 65 percent even early in the day.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 41 degrees Celsius.
