London, Feb 29 (IANS) A 70-year-old Briton was Wednesday arrested in France for allegedly trying to rape a woman and then kill her, a media report here said.
The man — who was not named — allegedly attacked the 30-year-old woman during the weekend in an apartment in Beausoleil, near Monaco, the Daily Mail reported.
The Briton allegedly molested the woman and tightened his hands around her neck. She managed to escape and alert neighbours.
Neighbours heard the shouts and intervened, and later called the police, a police source said.
