Chandigarh, July 9 (Inditop.com) The Haryana police Thursday seized around 1,400 kg of spurious milk products allegedly adulterated with chemicals.
“We have seized different milk products like cheese, ghee and cream during our surprise raids at various places. We have also collected a variety of chemicals like whitener, caustic soda, hydrogen peroxide and empty pouches of branded milk products,” said a police spokesman.
Police had launched a drive in the wake of increasing reports of large scale adulteration of milk and milk products in the state.
“The adulterated products were being sold at different places in Haryana and Chandigarh,” the spokesman said.
