Beijing, March 21 (IANS) A three-year-old boy tried to imitate a flying dinosaur from a cartoon movie by jumping off from his ninth floor home in a Chinese city. He survived the fall.
The incident took place in Nanjing, capital of the eastern Jiangsu Province, when the boy attempted to copy a flying dinosaur, reported Shanghai Daily citing Yangtze Evening News.
Xiao Kuankuan, who wore a thick cotton-padded jacket, landed on muddy ground.
The boy suffered an injury of the spleen and a fractured arm and was promptly taken to hospital where he was operated upon.
Ma Shaolin, a neighbour, was airing quilts when she heard a loud thump and spotted the boy lying with his nose bleeding.
“Thanks to these warm-hearted people, the boy has survived. If he wasn’t brought here in time, he might have died,” a doctor was quoted as saying.
