Tbilisi (Georgia), March 29 (IANS) Hosts Georgia pulled off a surprise 1-0 win over England while Spain and Ukraine played to 2-2 draw in the second round of the group three qualification for the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship finals.
The qualification is known as the elite round which is actually the second round of preliminaries with seven groups of four teams each.
Giorgi Papanashvili scored the lone winner in the dying minute of the Georgia-England match here Wednesday.
Spain had to come from behind twice in its match-off with Ukraine to settle for the tie after a 1-1 first half.
The winner of the single round-robin tourney will join winners from the other six groups and they together travel to Slovenia to play the grand finale along with the championship hosts.
